Bender Landing, on the North Fork Siuslaw River near Florence, Oregon, isn't a historic town but a modern Lane County park named for its location at a bend in the river, serving as a popular boat launch for fishing, paddling, and accessing the Siuslaw Estuary, continuing the area's legacy as a rich resource for Indigenous tribes and later settlers for fishing and timber, now focused on recreation and ecological restoration.
